30-Day Short-Form Reset

A four-week reset for creators who are posting inconsistently, chasing too many formats, or no longer know what is working.

A reset should reduce decisions, not create a more demanding calendar. For 30 days, use a small set of topics, formats, and review rules so you can see what is worth continuing.

Before day one

Choose:

  • Three content pillars tied to what you want to be known for
  • Two filmable formats you can repeat
  • One primary outcome: qualified DMs, saves, profile visits, or another useful signal
  • Three posting days per week you can actually maintain

Do not add a daily-posting target unless daily filming is already normal for you.

Week 1: establish the baseline

  1. Review your last 15–30 posts.
  2. Mark the five with the strongest useful outcome, not just the most views.
  3. Label each winning post by topic, hook pattern, format, and CTA.
  4. Publish three simple posts using the clearest repeated patterns.

The goal is to stop guessing. You are looking for a workable starting system.

Week 2: repeat the shape

Publish three more posts. Keep the format and hook patterns stable while changing the examples or angles.

For each post, write one sentence before filming:

This post helps [specific viewer] understand or do [one useful thing].

If that sentence contains two audiences or three outcomes, narrow the post.

Week 3: test one variable

Choose one controlled change:

  • A more specific hook
  • A shorter setup
  • Proof earlier in the script
  • A clearer CTA

Keep everything else familiar. Testing five changes at once tells you nothing.

Week 4: keep, cut, and queue

  1. Compare posts by the outcome you chose before day one.
  2. Keep two topic-and-format combinations that were useful and filmable.
  3. Cut one format that took too long or produced weak signals.
  4. Queue six follow-up angles based on comments, questions, and unfinished points.

End the month with a repeatable next week, not a giant retrospective.

Practical rules

  • Film in one or two batches each week.
  • Write for speech; remove sentences you would not say aloud.
  • Give each post one job.
  • Review weekly, not after every upload.
  • Do not pivot because one post underperforms.

When BrandScan helps

Run BrandScan before the reset if your history includes enough recent work to learn from. It can surface recurring pillars, hook patterns, CTA style, and voice signals in BrandDNA. Use those findings as constraints for the month; do not treat them as rules you can never change.

FAQ

How many times should I post during the reset?

Three useful posts per week is enough for this plan. Choose a pace that leaves room to review and improve.

What if none of my recent posts performed well?

Start with the posts that were clearest, easiest to film, or attracted the right questions. You still need a baseline before you can improve it.
